Quarter 1 Independent Reading
For Quarter 1 Independent Reading, I did Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I made a podcast about it. Here is some info about the book, plus the podcast.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *This author has written many other science fiction books, many of which are based on the same concept as Ender's Game. I haven't read any of them besides this book, but I might in the future. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This book is about Ender Wiggins, a 6 year old genius. He, along with his sister, Valentine, and unusual brother, Peter, have been closely watched by the government. The government is looking for genius children who can become battle commanders in the war against the buggers, an alien race who almost defeated humans in a war that happened in the past. Therefore, Ender is picked, the best choice for a battle commander, and he goes to battle school, leaving his family at the age of six. Ender, being a young boy at heart despite being a prodigy, has to endure theintense pressure and responsibility of saving the world, but can he do it?
